From ADAMS Board of Trustees

Assalaamu Alaykum Dear Community,

We hope this email finds you in good health and high spirits. As we are on the doorstep of Ramadan with all its blessings upon us, it is with great pleasure that we, the Board of Trustees, introduce our new Executive Director, Oussama Mezoui.

Oussama brings a wealth of experience and leadership to ADAMS, having a proven track record of success in the non-profit space over many years. During his career, he has operated with empathy, decisiveness, professionalism, and with a growth mindset.

Oussama's work ethic and deep expertise make him a perfect fit for the ADAMS community. He is an intelligent and compassionate leader with a deep commitment to the values and principles that ADAMS espouses. His goal as he comes on board will be to further implement those principles to ensure that the organization of ADAMS meets the community where you are. We are confident that his leadership will be instrumental in guiding ADAMS towards continued success and achieving our mission.

Furthermore, we know Oussama to be a passionate, people-oriented nonprofit leader.  From 2016 to 2021, he served as the Founder & CEO of Penny Appeal USA, a social service, relief, and development organization committed to alleviating poverty in the US and overseas.

Prior to establishing Penny Appeal USA, he served in several positions for nonprofit organizations in the UK and the US, where he has held the titles of Campaigns Manager, Chief of Staff, and VP of Programs.

Oussama has been involved in community work from a young age, supporting and advocating for a range of issues throughout high school, college, and his professional career.

Since moving to the US from the UK in late 2014, Oussama has resided in Northern Virginia, where he lives with his wife and daughter.

Barak Allah Feekum,
