Islamic Calligraphy Workshop:
Dive into the world of Islamic Calligraphy at our workshops! Immerse yourself in the timeless beauty of the Arabic script and join us in an evening of awe-inspiring artistry led by expert calligrapher Imam aban Karipek!
Two workshops are offered, the first at 1:45 and and the second at 3:45. Each session will cover the history, evolution, tools, and various styles of Islamic Calligraphy with demonstrations by aban Karipek. Imam Karipek will then provide hands-on guidance for you to craft your own piece for your home. A Q&A session will take place should there be extra time. All materials (pens, papers, and ink) will be provided and are fully covered by the ticket cost. Attendees can keep their pens and extra ink after the workshop conlcudes to further improve their skills!
These workshops are targeted at beginners. If you have little to no practical experience with calligraphy or simply want to learn about the history of the craft, this is the event for you!
Following the workshops, attendees will be allowed to commission and take home popular Islamic phrases or their names in calligraphy and watch as Imam Karipek composes the script right in front of them! Those who do not know how to compose their name in Arabic can consult on-location volunteers on how to most accurately spell their names in the Arabic script.
This event will take place at ADAMS Center in Sterling, VA on Saturday, May 11th starting at 1:45pm.

This life is not an easy one. We are constantly bombarded with difficulties and uncertainties, both within our own lives and around us. This begs the question: How can we, as Muslims, overcome these tribulations? Even more than that, how can we retain hope and optimism while in the midst of such tribulations?
Join us for a special Spiritual Saturday event with guest speaker Shaykh Yahya Rhodus as he speaks on this critical issue and how we can maintain hope in these times of turbulence.
This event will take place in the main musullah at ADAMS Center in Sterling, VA.
Doors will open onSaturday, May 11th at 8:45 pm and the event will begin promptly at 9 pm.

The latest edition of our weekly program returns for singles, young couples, and parents ages 28 and up!
Led by Imam Kebba Sallah in his first-ever Qahwa event, this 4-part series series draws from a translation of Ibn Qayyim Al-Jawziyyas book Patience and Gratitude.
Attendees will come away with practical applications of these Islamic virtues and how to use them to better manage the turbulences of life. Attendees will participate in reflection and journaling, all while meeting others in the community!
One ticket covers all 4 sessions.

Embark on a weekly journey to explore the profound character and beauty of the Prophet Muhammad () through the spiritual insights of Ibn Ajiba. Join Ustadha Kouthar every Monday night at 7PM at ADAMS Fairfax.
Rijaal:
The Rijaal returns! Translated from the Arabic word for Men and led by Imam Abdul Malik Merchant, the latest iteration of this series draws from the wisdom of Imam al-Ghazalis Adab Al-Suhba (The Duties of Brotherhood), a chapter Ihya Uloom Al-Deen.
This event takes place every Tuesday in the outside Pavilion and consists of a short talk by Imam Merchant followed by questions, comments, and discussions from attendees. Open to youth and young professionals looking to learn what it takes to be a better man according to our scholars in the Islamic tradition. Men 18+ Only.
In case of inclement weather, the event takes place inside Qahwa.
