ADAMS AOI Guidance on Hajj Deposits
AssalamuAlaikum Wa Rahmatullah,
The ADAMS AOI has received questions about the process of Hajj and, in collaboration with Br. Absar Choudhry and Br. Sajjad Ahmad (over 40 years of combined experience), we have gathered the update below to benefit our community inshaAllah.
Saudi Ministry of Hajj & Umrah has implemented a new process for Hajj going back several years. To be able to perform Hajj, you must register on the Ministry of Hajj Platform called Nusuk ().
Registration for Nusuk has been open for about a month and will likely close in the coming month as capacity is reached. Registering on the Nusuk platform and completing your online profile are mandatory first steps on this profound pilgrimage. Since all transactions related to Hajj will have to be done through the Nusuk Platform.
While this registration marks the commencement of a multi-step process for securing your spot on Hajj, it doesn't guarantee immediate placement. However, this is a critical step, allowing you to build a comprehensive profile. In a few months, inshaAllah, the packages will be unveiled for purchase directly from Nusuk, and your preparedness at this stage will be invaluable.
For those who've previously crafted a profile this year, we urge you to ensure its active status by logging into your Profile.
If you will be traveling with family, we strongly recommend the family registration. This strategic move consolidates your information, ensuring a unified enrollment when the time arrives.
The accuracy of your registration details is paramount. Learning from past experiences, we faced challenges in modifying submitted information. Thus, accuracy is the key to a seamless process. We implore you to invest the time in completing the registration meticulously. Your efforts will enhance your experience and contribute to a smoother journey for your entire family.
Things To Avoid
We have seen Agencies marketing Hajj Packages for 2024 (as they did for 2023/2022) and collecting deposits to hold space for potential customers. Please note, as per guidance that ADAMS has confirmed, the only approved method of purchasing a package for Hajj is through the Nusuk Platform, not through individual Travel Groups/Agencies in the U.S.A. So before you place your deposits for Hajj with Travel Groups/Agencies, please confirm package details, i.e., Dates, Airlines, Hotels, Mina/Arafat/Muzdalifa Camp Locations, Ground Transportation, etc
Per our understanding, no one will have exact details related to those functions, and they do not have the Packages available to sell for which they are collecting deposits.
We pray this information helps prepare our community for Hajj 2024 in the best of ways and allows us to benefit from knowing the approved process from the Ministry of Hajj & Umrah.
