Al-Umma Center plans to honor SCV 2024 Graduates 

Plans are underway to organize an event to honor this year's community's graduating class (all levels 6th grade - college & professional school). More event information will be shared soon, Inshallah.

Friday Prayer (05/10/2024)

   Additional Information:

• Khateeb starts the Khutbah at 1:15 PM.
• The Friday Prayer will be streamed live on the Masjid FB page :http://Facebook.com/AUCSCV/
• Please avoid double parking, and use street parking right behind the masjid.  It's only a short walk to the Masjid from that area.

Quran Reciting + Contemplations Sharing  Quran recitations will resume again tonight insha Allah since there was a break during Ramadan   (Thursdays @6:30 PM)

Fajr Prayer & Hadith Contemplations (Sundays @ 5:30 AM): 
Please join us every Sunday in the Masjid to pray Fajr and participate in discussing and reflecting on two or three Hadiths, Inshallah.  This Sunday, Brother Ensar will continue presenting Hadiths from (Riyad Assalihin)

In-Masjid Prayers (Isha @ 9:15 PM & Fajr @ 5:30AM):

Community members are urged to come and do Jamaa prayers, especially Isha and Fajr, where most days we'll have a short Khatira by one of our esteemed Khateebs, or another learned Brother In Sha Allah. 

   
Sunday School:
 
This Sunday 5/12/2024 there will be no Sunday School on account of Mother's Day. The last day of this year's regular instructions for Sunday school will be May 19th in Shaa Allah. and there will be an end of the year celebration on May 26th (12:00pm -2:30pm) @ Scoter's Jungle. Address is 28230 Constellation Rd, Valencia) 

As a reminder, four levels of instruction are offered in Quran, Arabic, and Islamic Studies. Sunday School is held on Sundays from 10:00 AM - 12:45 PM. Parents are encouraged to stay and pray Dhur at pick-up time for the kids. (Below are some photos from last week.)

    

  
                           
Community News & Events

1. There is a brother from the University of Wisconsin who needs some help finding accommodations for his summer internship. His message reads as follows 

Assalamalaikum My name is Osama Adil Mohammed and I am a student at University of Wisconsin Madison. I found a summer internship at huMannity Medtec at Santa Clarita. The address for which is 25134 Rye Canyon Loop # 200, Valencia, CA 91355 . I am looking for accommodation from June 15th till September 15th InShaAllah and I would be really grateful if you can help me find a place to live nearby for that duration.
