Assalamualaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu Masjid,

The Prophet (SAWS) has said,  that the "paradise lies beneath the feet of the mother" (Sunan al Nasai). Serve your mother and make dua for her if she is alive; and make dua for her and do good deeds on her behalf, if she has passed away. Let's make sure we are working towards our paradise.

Mother's Day is this weekend. While we intend to honor our mothers and mother figures in our lives (everyday), we cannot help but think of the mothers in Gaza. The torturous months they have been going through, living in fear or worse, having their fears come true. We are reminded of one of the mothers in the Quran: the mother of Prophet Musa (A.S.), who had to throw her baby in the river out of fear of Pharoah's soldiers. Allah acknowledges her angst and distress in the Quran and how He arranged for her heart to be comforted. We pray that Allah eases the angst of our mothers in Palestine and brings comfort to the hearts of all our mothers. Ameen!
