Weekly Newsletter March 21, 11th Ramadan, 1445

Assalamualaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu Masjid,

Ramadan is also known as the month of the Quran, since Quran was revealed to our Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) in this sacred month. It provides us with an opportunity to renew our love and connection with Allah's words. What better time to do a deep dive into the Quran with our own Religious Director, Dr. Ahmed's weekly sessions: A Verse and a Story, where every Sunday he will share a verse from the Quran, tell us the story and historical context behind it, and then help us understand the lessons we can learn from it. May Allah guide us to adopt the Quranic teachings in our life, following the sunnah of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAWS), Ameen!

Weekly Recap

Last Sunday, our Religious Director, Dr. Ahmed, did the first session of his weekly Ramadan series: A Verse and A Story. For the first session, Dr. Ahmed picked an ayah from Surah Al-e-Imran, about the almost won battle of Uhud. It was an interactive session attended by men and women of all ages, and Dr. Ahmed helped us paint a picture of this significant event in Islamic history as well as supported the audience to learn practical lessons to take with them:  that the ups and downs are part of life, the importance of obedience to Allah and the Prophet SAWS and to stay away from sins if we don't want the barakah taken away from our lives.
