Assalamualaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu Masjid,
"So, surely, with hardship comes ease." (Al-Quran, 94:5-6)
Last week our community was shocked and saddened by an act of vandalism on our beautiful masjid. However, every incident sets an occasion to either complain of the troubles or to choose to focus on our blessings. We are thankful first to Allah that our community was safe; we are also thankful for the support of our Security Committee for that day and everyday; we are grateful to the Bridgwater police for taking swift action and arresting the perpetrator, and for CAIR for their solidarity. We also feel blessed to have all of you in our community and for your duas, your unwavering faith and your genuine concern for our beloved Masjid. We are stronger together and we are hopeful in our resolve to stand against all forms of hate.
We take this opportunity to plan programs to open our doors to our friends and future friends, to come and learn more about Islam or clarify any misunderstandings that they might have.
We strongly condemn all hateful rhetoric, including Islamophobia that resulted in this hate crime, that agitators spread whether it be on media, social media or through their political stations.

We are thrilled to welcome back Dr. Mostafa Ghazy as our new Imam and Director of the Quran Academy. Many of you already know Dr. Mostafa from this past Ramadan when he led the Taraweeh prayers, leaving a lasting impression with his profound recitations and spiritual guidance.
Dr. Mostafa is a distinguished graduate of Al-Azhar University, holding a Ph.D. in Quranic Studies with a focus on the interpretation of the Holy Quran, and a Masters degree in Fundamentals of Fiqh. His expertise is further endorsed by his Ijaza in Hafs recitation and an honors certificate from the Egyptian Government (Awqaf) for his exemplary achievements in Imam training, leading Salah, and delivering impactful Khutbahs and lectures.
Recognized for his exceptional dedication, Dr. Mostafa has taught comprehensive courses in Quranic studies, Hadith, Fiqh, and Islamic history at the Ahmed Bin Hanbal Institute in Cairo. He has also developed engaging lesson plans, mentored students in their spiritual and academic growth, and organized workshops on contemporary Islamic issues.
Since 2012, Dr. Mostafa has been a beacon of knowledge and spirituality, leading Salah and delivering inspiring lectures in various Masajid across the United States. He founded the Jebreel Islamic Institute in Texas, where he developed the institute's vision, mission, and strategic plan, and oversaw all operational aspects, including curriculum development and faculty recruitment.
We are truly privileged to have Dr. Mostafa join the Al Falah community. We look forward to the profound impact he will undoubtedly have as he guides and enriches our community in his new role, starting August 25, 2024.
