Assalamualaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu Masjid,
As we prepare to leave the year 2023 behind us, we are reminded of all the things we witnessed this year: from the official end of COVID-19 as a pandemic, to getting more access to artificial intelligence, to earthquakes in Turkey and Syria, wildfires in Hawaii and Canada, and are still watching in horror the unspeakable destruction and genocide in Palestine. It may appear that things are occurring haphazardly but Allah tells us in the Quran: "Say n****othing will ever befall us except what Allah has destined for us. He is our Protector. So in Allah let the believers put their trust. (At-Tawbah, 9:51).
All of these occurrences happen from the Will of Allah and as a test for us. When times are good, our gratitude, humility, and generosity are tested; likewise, when times are tough, our patience, resilience, and courage are tested.
May Allah help us and make us successful in every trial He puts us through. May Allah make our collective efforts a way to create a world where we stand firmly against injustice and oppression and bravely defend the rights of others, whether in Palestine or closer to home.

Falah Youth Initiative - 01/06
FYI will meet up Next Saturday, January 6th at 7:30 pm.
FYI is a bi-weekly program (every 2nd and 4th Saturday) led by Imam Khalil and his team to provide youth with good companionship and mentorship. We'll discuss youth relevant issues, play games, eat, and just chill. The initial phase will be for brothers ages 14-18. Following that, the goal is to incorporate their sister counterparts, and eventually children ages 9-13. The relationships fermented in this program will lead to lifelong friendships built upon righteousness and piety insha'Allah. Register below!
