Update of 7/19/24 Incident
Assalaamualaykum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu,
Inshallah this message finds you all well. We are writing to provide an important update regarding the recent hateful crime incident that occurred at our cherished masjid.
Alhamdulillah, we are relieved to inform you that the individual responsible for the act of vandalism against our center has been apprehended and is now in custody. We are grateful to Allah (SWT) for this swift resolution and to the diligent efforts of our local law enforcement agencies.
In light of this incident, we have implemented additional security measures to ensure the safety and sanctity of our masjid:
1. Local law enforcement agencies have increased their presence and patrols around our center. There are armed security personnel from the Sheriffs office, the Police Department, NJ State Troopers, and our own armed security patrolling the premises.
2. We have upgraded our surveillance and monitoring systems.
3. We have been in close communication with the Mayor's office, and they have assured us of their full support and assistance during this time.
These measures are in place to provide peace of mind to our community and to prevent any further incidents.
We are also collaborating closely with CAIR NJ to ensure this incident receives appropriate attention and that due process of justice is followed.
Rest assured the Al Falah Board takes this incident very seriously and is working hard to make sure the community and our cherished gift from Allah our masjid is safe.

Please continue to keep our masjid in your duas, and may Allah (SWT) guide us all towards greater understanding, compassion, and unity.
