Dear Esteemed Members of the Al Falah Community,
With immense pleasure and gratitude to Allah (SWT), the Board of Directors of Al Falah Center is delighted to announce the appointment of our new Religious Director, Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Metwally. Dr. Metwally will be visiting us for Isha prayer on Sunday, January 28th, 2024, in Shaa Allah.
Dr. Ahmed Mohamed holds a MA in Islamic Studies from the Islamic University of Minnesota. He also holds an Ijazah (traditional Islamic license) to transmit and teach Quran recitation, Tajweed, Aqeeda, principles of Fiqh and principles of Hadeeth. He is a M.Sc. and Ph.D. holder in Biology from Queens University in Canada.
Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Metwally
Dr. Metwally, an esteemed and learned individual in Islamic studies, brings with him a wealth of religious Fiqh knowledge and experience. His deep understanding of the contemporary challenges faced by our community, makes him an invaluable addition to our center. He Currently serves as the Chair of Islamic Studies at Noor-Ul-Iman. School, contributing to the academic and spiritual development of students. He simultaneously serves as a Faith-Based Interventionist at Cornerstone Marriage and Family Intervention, bridging the gap between faith and family dynamics, promoting healthier relationships and emotional well-being. Presently, Dr. Metwally is at the Islamic Society of Central Jersey (ISCJ) where he leads and develops impactful Islamic programming for the youth.
The selection was Dr. Metwally was thorough and conducted for over two months with the utmost diligence for the needs of our community. We are confident that Dr. Metwally will lead our religious programs with wisdom, passion, and a commitment to the teachings of Islam.
We extend a warm welcome to Dr. Metwally. Dr. Metwally will commence his duties on March 1, 2024. We look forward to his religious leadership and guidance.
Let us come together to support our new Religious Director in their endeavors to foster a vibrant, knowledgeable, and cohesive Muslim community.
May Allah (SWT) guide us all in this new chapter for Al Falah Center and help us grow in faith and unity.
