Al Falah Center Organizational Updates
Assalamualaykum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu,
Dear Members of Al Falah Community,
Al Falah Center is pleased to announce the arrival of Dr. Ahmed Metwally as its first Religious Director!
Dr. Ahmed holds a MA in Islamic Studies from the Islamic University of Minnesota. He also holds an Ijazah (traditional Islamic license) to transmit and teach Quran recitation, Tajweed, Aqeeda, principles of Fiqh and principles of Hadeeth. He holds a M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Biology from Queens University in Canada.
Dr. Ahmed, an esteemed and learned individual in Islamic studies, brings with him a wealth of religious Fiqh knowledge and experience. His deep understanding of the contemporary challenges faced by our community makes him an invaluable addition to our center. He currently serves as the Chair of Islamic Studies at Noor-Ul-Iman School, contributing to the academic and spiritual development of students. He is also the founder of The Purity of Essence, a faith-based integrative mental wellbeing & relational coaching service that aims to bridge the gap between faith and family dynamics, promoting healthier relationships and emotional well-being. Dr. Ahmed comes to us from the Islamic Society of Central Jersey (ISCJ) where he was instrumental in leading and developing impactful Islamic programming for the youth and young adults.
As the spiritual leader of Al Falah Center, Dr. Ahmed will play a critical role in providing support and education to members of our community through counseling and religious guidance, religious programs and building bridges with other faith communities. We are excited to have Dr. Ahmed's knowledge and extensive experience here at Al Falah Center. Please join us in welcoming him to our community.
We would also like to inform you that Imam Rachid Aimour will bestepping down as Imam of Al Falah Center and Director of the Qur'an Reyhaan Program at the end of March. Imam Rachid played an important role at Al Falah Center and has been a great source of knowledge for the community. In his time as Imam, he has served the community by leading the daily prayers, reciting Quran, offering halaqas and overseeing the Qur'an Reyhaan Program.
Please join us in thanking Imam Rachid for his accomplishments at Al Falah Center. We are grateful for his contributions. May Allah (swt) reward him and we wish him the best in his future endeavors.
