Assalaamu Alaykum Masjid,
We pray this message reaches you in the best of health and faith.
Updated Closure Announcement
-
All ADAMS Center branches will remain closed on Tuesday, January 7, 2025.
-
All programs and activities at ADAMS Center branches are canceled during this period.
-
We are continuing to monitor the situation and will provide further updates as necessary.
-
While the amount of snow is a major factor, we are equally concerned about the dangerously low temperatures, black ice, and untreated local streets that lead to main roads. These roads are often not cleared of snow promptly, posing significant risks for travel to and from the mosque. Additionally, we follow closure decisions made by local government, county, and schools to ensure the safety of our community.
Guidance for Prayers at Home
-
For your safety, we kindly request that no one attempts to visit or pray outside the masjid while it is closed.
-
In the event that congregational prayers are canceled due to severe weather conditions, it is permissible to pray at home to fulfill your ritual obligations. The ADAMS Office of Imams recommends that everyone prays at home during this closure.
-
For more details regarding the rulings on canceling congregational prayers during inclement weather, please refer to the following article from the Fiqh Council of North America.
We will continue to monitor weather conditions and provide updates via email, our website, and social media channels.
Your safety is our highest priority. Please stay safe, warm, and take the necessary precautions as the storm approaches.
