Dear Community Members,

What a summer it’s been for ICNA Chicago! Alhamdulillah, we’ve shared so many moments of joy, learning, and connection over the past couple of months. Here’s a quick look back — and a peek at what’s ahead.

🌙 Eid Fest 2025 – June 20–22

Chicagoland’s biggest Eid celebration did not disappoint! Over three exciting days, families came out for rides, games, halal food, and plenty of laughter. The energy was amazing — you could feel the unity and happiness all around.

👨👩👧👦 Family Afternoon on Prophet Nuh (AS) – July 12

This one was special. Families gathered to learn about the story of Prophet Nuh (AS) in a way that was engaging for both kids and parents. There were hands-on activities, meaningful lessons, good food, and plenty of heartwarming conversations. We left with full hearts (and full plates!).

💼 ICNA Chicago Job Fair – July 31

Our Job Fair connected over 150 job seekers with 14 companies from across different industries. It was incredible seeing people walk away with new opportunities and a renewed sense of hope for their careers.

🕌 Addressing the Rise of Atheism – August 13

Dr. Sabeel Ahmed led an eye-opening talk about the growing challenge of atheism, especially among Muslim youth. The discussion was honest, relevant, and full of practical advice on how to guide and support the next generation.

📚 Coming Up Next – August 28

Mark your calendars! Dr. Akram Nadwi will be at the ICNA Center for History in Chains: Hadith Authenticity in the Age of Historical Criticism. It’s happening from 6–9 PM, and it’s a must for anyone who wants to understand how traditional Hadith sciences respond to modern historical criticism. Seats are limited, so don’t wait to register.
