Jumuah Mubarak. Classes start tomorrow.

Jumuah Mubarak to our dear brothers and sisters!

He is the One Who made the sun a radiant source and the moon a reflected light, with precisely ordained phases, so that you may know thenumber of years and calculation of time. Allah did not create all this except for a purpose. He makes the signs clear for people of knowledge.

Qur'an 10:5

Hidden Wisdom of the Sun and the Moon

Surah Yunus verse 5 highlights this truth by drawing our attention to the sun and moontwo inexhaustible sources of light, harmoniously synchronized. Allah, in His infinite wisdom, has set their movements with such precision that theyprovide us with an unfailing measure of timethe year, the month, the day, and even the very seconds that pass.

These celestial bodies move with flawless consistency, never faltering, never requiring repair or maintenance. Light will always prevail after darkness, and darkness will follow after light. Has it ever failed us in its never-ending cycle? Their reliability is a testament to the divine commandgiven to them that continues to be obeyed without deviation.

Purpose in the Universe, Purpose in Us

The verse concludes with a profound reminder: Allah the Exalted did not create these marvels without purpose. There is immense wisdom in their design and countless benefits they offer tohumanity.

These are not mere accidents of nature; they are loud, clear signs, calling out to us to recognize the truth using our reason. Everything in creation, from the orderly movement of the heavens to the intricate balance of life on earth, has an ordained purpose and as such bears witness to the power of Allah the Almighty.

As for the human, Imam Kemal reminds us that it has the "greatest purpose which is to know Allah".
