Ramadan Announcement and more
Jumuah Mubarak to our dear brothers and sisters.
The long-awaited, deeply yearned-for month of Ramadan is almost here. A month when the gates of Paradise are flung open, and the doors of Hellfire are sealed shut. A month of boundless mercy, redemption, and unimaginablereward.
In a past Ramadan session, Ustadh Meurad emphasized a profound truth: If just one dua were to be accepted, let it be that we are freed from the Hellfirefor that alone would suffice.
A Moment in Jannah Erases a Lifetime of Pain
The Prophet described a scene that should fill every believer with hope:
A person who endured immense hardship in this worldsorrow, loss, trialswill be placed for just a moment in Jannah (Paradise) and asked:
O son of Adam, did you ever face hardship? Did youexperience distress?
And he will reply:
No, by Allah, my Lord! I never faced hardship or distress.
(Sahih Muslim 2807)
Every moment of pain, gone. Every wound, healed.
Now, imagine not just a momentbut an eternity in Jannah. SubhanAllah!
Conversely, someone who lived a life of ease and worldly pleasure will be placed for but a moment in Jahannam (Hell) and asked:
O son of Adam, did you see any good? Did you receive blessings?
And he will say:
No, by Allah, my Lord!
This is reality. Jannah is real. Jahannam is real. And the greatest mercy of Ramadan? Eachnight at iftar (time of breaking the fast), Allah frees souls from the Hellfire.
A Dua That is Enough
If we could only make one supplication, let it be this:
Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanatan wa fil Aakhirati hasanatan waqina adhaban-nar
Our Lord, grant us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and save us from the punishment of the Fire.
(Bukhari &Muslim)
Because even with all our faults, we should not lose hope:
O My servants who have transgressed against themselves! Do not despair of Allahs mercy, for indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, He is the Most Forgiving, Most Merciful.
(Quran 39:53)
Ramadan is calling: "O s_eeker of the good, come near!"_ (Tirmidhi 682)
We dont know if this will be our last Ramadan. Lets seize it with everything we have.
May Allahgrant us a Ramadan of forgiveness, mercy, and salvation.
Be a Source of Mercy for Others
As we seek Allahs boundless mercy this Ramadan, let us also embody it. The Prophet said, Allah is merciful to those who are merciful to others. (Tirmidhi)
