A Collective Statement of Solidarity and Support
In Response to the Los Angeles fires: A Tragic Loss of Lives, Homes, and Sacred Spaces, including Masjid At-Taqwah, St. Marks Episcopal Church, and the Jewish Temple & Center in Pasadena
In this time of profound loss and hardship, we, the undersigned institutions and organizations, extend our heartfelt prayers and unwavering solidarity to the communities affected by the tragic fires.
Our hearts ache for the individuals, families, and sacred spaces impacted by this devastating disaster. We stand united in our shared grief and in our collective commitment to rebuilding and healing.
We are deeply grateful for the heroic efforts of firefighters, first responders, and emergency teams who are working tirelessly to safeguard lives and communities in the face of these challenges. Their courage and dedication inspire us all.
In moments like these, we are reminded of the strength found in unity and the power of collective compassion. As communities of faith, culture, and service, we commit to offering our resources, time, and prayers to support those affected. Together, we can extend hope, strength, and practical assistance to all who are struggling.
We expect that all impacted communities will have access to the necessary federal, state, and local resources to recover and rebuild. Additionally, we encourage the media to shine a light on all affected communities, informing the broader public and fostering a collective commitment to the safety and well-being of everyone.
We encourage everyone to remain informed by monitoring updates from local authorities and to heed any safety advisories. Supporting one another with care and understanding is vital as we navigate this time of crisis.
May our shared faith and humanity guide us in providing comfort, solidarity, and action in the days ahead.
