Information about Zakat
Zakat : Virtues and Rules.
Rasulullah SAW said: “ Almighty Allah Says,” spend o son of Aadam you will be granted.” Rasulullah SAW said: “ by giving charity the wealth never decreases but it will always increase.” Allah taala has mentioned ward zakat with salah about 82 times in the holy Quran. That’s why some of the ulama have said that the salah of that person will not be accepted upon whom the zakat is fardh until he takes out his zakat. Zakat is one of the pillar of Islam. A person who pays his zakat regularly, Allah will increase and purify his wealth. By paying zakat rest of the wealth has been protected from any harm or loss.if a person gives zakat to his needy relatives , Allah will grant him double reward. It is said, if every rich man takes out his zakat correctly, No Muslim will remain poor in the world..In the month of Ramadan every Fardh deed increases to 70 times.
Upon whom zakat is Fardh?
A person who possesses a certain minimum amount which is called Nisab.
Nisab Is # 87.48 grams of gold, or 612.36 grams of silver or its equivalent of cash. merchandise for sale, live stock, other income such as rent.etc. On this amount one lunar year has to pass.
To whom zakat can be given ?
The recipients of Zakat are Muslim poor and needy, and the collector of zakat,those whose hearts are to be reconciled, to free the slave,the debtors,for the cause of Allah and musafir. Zakat can be given to your own poor brother,sister,nephew, niece, Brother and sister:s mature children.maternal and paternal uncles and aunts,step grand father, step grandmother,father in law, mother in law, brother in law, sister in law. provided they don’t possess an amount of Nisab.
