Inshallah, first day of the holy month of Ramadan is expected to be Saturday, March 01, 2025. We want to take this opportunity to wish everyone Ramadan Mubarak, and pray to Allah (SWT) to bless everyone with health, peace, and piety. We pray to Allah to help all of us to double up our efforts to do more Hasanat and especially those positively affecting lives of others. We especially pray to Allah (SWT) to ease the suffering of our brothers and sisters in Gaza & West Bank.
Sheikh Mustafa will be arriving on Thursday, February 27, 2025. Inshallah. He'll be with us for the entire month of Ramadan and will lead the Taraweeh Prayers, and provide Islamic knowledge and guidance to the community. The first night of Taraweeh will be on Friday, February 28, 2025, Inshallah.
Ramadan Program:
The following is the program Structure::
Maghrib Athan per Canyon Country Prayer times followed by breaking the Fast
Maghrib Prayer
Main Iftar meal
8:30 PM to 9:00 PM - Group Quran recitation
9:00 PM to 9:15 PM - Isha Prayer
9:15 PM to 10:00 PM --Taraweeh Prayers (eight Rakaas with a 5 minutes Khatira after the first 4 Rakaas)
10:00 PM 10:15 PM - Shafa & Witr

Iftar Sponsorship:
- Community Iftars: Initially, opportunities for Iftar sponsorships will be available Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays during first twenty Ramadan days , and every day during the last ten Ramadan days. It's imperative, Ramadan days which are not currently available for sponsorship, will be made available for sponsorship should all the current available days are sponsored.. Sunday School
(Sunday School offers four levels of instruction in Quran, Arabic, and Islamic Studies. Sunday School is held on Sundays from 10:00AM - 12:45PM)
Reciting + Contemplations Sharing
Quran recitations are held on (Thursdays @ 6:30 PM) . Well be starting on page 438, Inshallah

Fajr Prayer & Hadith Contemplations (Sundays @ 6:00 AM):
Please join us every Sunday in the Masjid to pray Fajr and participate in discussing and reflecting on two or three Hadiths, Inshallah. This Sunday, Brother Ensar will continue presenting Hadiths from (Riyad Assalihin)
In-Masjid Prayers (Isha @ 8:00 PM & Fajr @ 6:00 AM):
Community members are urged to come and do Jamaa prayers, especially Isha and Fajr, where most days we'll have a short Khatira by one of our esteemed Khateebs, or another learned Brother In Sha Allah.
New Masjid Building Project Updates:
1. Alhamdulillah, revised plans which allow for men's and women's bathrooms and Wudu stations on the first floor (see revised plans below). The architect has developed preliminary 3D renditions of the plans, and Inshallah more detailed plans will be incorporated in recurrently obtained photos and videos of surrounding areas . (see photos below)
2. The process of merging the two lots has been initiated by contracting with a surveying contractor for preparing the technical exhibits and maps required to be submitted as part of the application to the the City of Santa Clarita Engineering department. Additionally current title reports for both lots have been ordered from the title company. We expect to submit the application to the City by the end of February, 2025.
Community News & Events:
1. Important Security Message: Please be aware that there is a group of people going door to door pretending to be Internal Affairs employees. They have documents and letterhead from the Ministry of Home Affairs and claim they need to verify that everyone has a valid ID for the upcoming census. They steal houses. They are everywhere and look stylish. Someone will come to your house and say I want to take your photo/fingerprint according to some scheme. They have a laptop, a biometric machine and a list of all the names. They show the menu and ask for all this information. Please note that there is no such initiative by the government. Please know that all of this is fake. Don't give them any information. Everyone needs to be vigilant and aware! Please share this with all your family members and friends.
